Classroom Blogs

Classroom Blogs are a great way to keep parents in the loop.

Here is an example of a 3rd grade blog created by students that highlights what they learned about each week and projects they are working on. The teacher set the blog up, but the students keep it current. Parents are invited by email to join the blog and can comment on the blog.

Another way to keep parents in the loop is to invite them to a book chat online such as a wikispace or 21 classes. If your class in reading a novel, ask parents to read the novel too and involve them in a blog or wiki.
